PEGASUS EQUINE PODIATRY

Rebecca ScottPegasus Equine Podiatry is a business which began in North East Victoria in 2004. In early 2007  I moved with my family to metropolitan Melbourne, for my daughter’s education & am now working on re-establishing a clientele in the Mornington Peninsula and Werribee regions.

Services include:

  • Trimming -  for pleasure or performance horses.  Includes removal of shoes (if required), a set-up trim, and ongoing regular trim care at 4 to 5 week intervals.
  • Remedial trimming for founder prevention & rehabilitation. Regular hoof care can minimise the risk of laminitis. If your horse has foundered, it can make him much more comfortable and (with proper diet and exercise) begin the rehabilitation process.
  • Consultation & support for those learning to trim their own horses. Includes  recommending reputable barefoot courses, books and websites; advising on tools and technique; monitoring your horses and your trim. Available in person or for phone & email support.
  • Educational talks & demos on barefoot trimming, for equestrian clubs and assns. Informal, informational sessions, tailored to the audience, and including a trim demonstration. Bookings preferred at least  4 weeks in advance.
  • Supply and fitting of hoof boots for horses making the transition from shod to barefoot.
